Responsibilities

Mayo Clinic is searching for an innovative and proven leader to serve as the Chair for our Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Sleep Medicine at our academic medical center in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Division Chair for these specialties is a leadership position and the individual selected will be accountable for driving innovation through cutting edge procedures, capitalizing on technology, advancing progressive research, and educating future pulmonary, allergy and sleep medicine physicians. The selected candidate will be responsible for achieving exceptional patient outcomes, financial and growth objectives in addition to actively recruiting and retaining top talent to advance Mayo’s mission.

• Invigorating vision and strategy to innovate and grow the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Sleep Medicine and be able to articulate and execute that vision

• Prioritize business strategies to position the division for the future

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Board certification in Pulmonary Medicine and eligibility for full Florida licensure required

• Academic rank of Professor preferred; rank of at least Associate Professor is required

• Evidence of continued academic and scholarly activity

• Proven successful leader

• Strong understanding of collaboration between critical care medicine, transplant medicine, and interventional pulmonology

• On-going transformational practice innovation

• Adept at mentoring junior staff

• Ability to build relationships and network globally

• Recognized as an expert in their field
