This role is ideal for someone who can independently manage tax returns from start to finish while contributing to process improvements and supporting a variety of client accounting needs.

What You'll Be Doing

Tax Preparation & Compliance

• Prepare and review Consolidated and Multi-State Tax Returns from start to finish
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings for a diverse client base
• Complete year-end tax reporting and compliance requirements

Tax Research & Analysis

• Research federal and state tax laws and regulations
• Provide guidance and recommendations on tax-related matters
• Stay current on tax law changes impacting clients

Client & Accounting Support

• Perform bookkeeping support as needed for clients
• Assist with year-end accounting and tax engagements
• Work closely with team members to ensure exceptional client service

⚙️ Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve tax return preparation processes and workflow efficiencies
• Support ongoing operational and administrative projects

✅ What We're Looking For

Required:

✔ Proven experience preparing Consolidated Tax Returns

✔ Proven experience preparing Multi-State Tax Returns

✔ CTEC, EA or CPA

✔ Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations

✔ Ability to independently manage tax engagements from start to finish

✔ Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

⭐ Experience with CCH Axcess software

⭐ Public accounting experience

⭐ Bookkeeping and client accounting support experience
