Job Summary

A Banking Operations Specialist direct hire opportunity is available in Summerville, SC for a detail-oriented banking professional with deposit operations and wire processing experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a professional financial services environment, supporting customers and internal teams, and helping ensure accurate, secure transaction processing.

Key Responsibilities

- Process and verify incoming and outgoing wire transfers accurately and in compliance with banking procedures.
- Review checks, deposits, account transactions, and operational reports for accuracy, discrepancies, and potential fraud concerns.
- Support debit card servicing, online banking inquiries, and related deposit operations functions.
- Provide professional customer and internal support by phone and email.
- Research and resolve operational issues while maintaining strong attention to detail and documentation.
- Partner with internal teams to support secure, efficient, and customer-focused banking operations.

- Compensation is around $20 per hour, depending on experience.
- Hourly rate may be increased for the right candidate.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process and verify wire transfers and deposit operations transactions.
- Review reports, checks, deposits, and account activity for accuracy and fraud prevention.
- Support debit card servicing, online banking inquiries, and operational customer support.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of deposit operations or related banking operations experience required.
- Hands-on wire processing experience is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and accuracy in transaction review.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to support customers and internal teams by phone and email.
- Friendly, positive, and professional approach with the ability to interview well and represent the organization effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

- Fiserv Premier experience strongly preferred but not required.
- Direct banking operations experience preferred.
- Wire transfer processing experience strongly preferred.
