Build Your Accounting Career with a Construction Leader

LaSalle Network is hiring an Accountant to join a well-established, fourth-generation construction company in Cicero. Reporting directly to the Controller, this Accountant position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing organization with deep roots in the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accountant seeking exposure to multiple areas of accounting while working in a collaborative, informal environment.

What’s the job?

• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations
• Manage subcontractor insurance certificates
• Maintain and update Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules
• Perform monthly accounting activities for affiliated companies
• Prepare union reports and support union payroll processes
• Enter customer billings and cash receipts
• Assist with special projects and process improvements

What’s needed?

• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Construction industry accounting experience preferred
• Experience with union reporting and union payroll
• Experience using accounting software; construction software preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
