Job Description

A well-established university is seeking a Student Services Coordinator for a six-month assignment to support its centralized student support center. This role assists students and campus stakeholders with a wide range of enrollment-related services and plays a key part in delivering high-quality student support.

This is a highly visible, customer-facing position responsible for helping students and families navigate processes such as course registration, financial aid, tuition billing, housing, and academic records. The ideal candidate will have experience in higher education administration or student services and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, current students, alumni, families, faculty, and staff seeking assistance with student services.
  • Provide information and guidance related to course registration, academic records, financial aid, student billing, housing, and orientation programs.
  • Research and resolve student inquiries by coordinating with multiple campus departments.
  • Deliver efficient, accurate, and professional end-to-end support for student service requests.
  • Process, review, and route student documentation to the appropriate departments.
  • Assist with managing both in-person and virtual service queues to ensure timely support.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems related to student service interactions.
  • Participate in campus outreach events, orientation programs, and student support initiatives.
  • Support operational improvements and special projects within student services.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in higher education administration, student services, or enrollment support.
  • Experience supporting functions such as Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Housing, or Orientation.
  • Familiarity with student information systems, CRM platforms, or customer service ticketing systems.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
