In this engaging role, you will collaborate with a talented group of physicians, editors, and illustrators to craft high-quality, compelling content for our USMLE® , ABIM® , ABEM® , ABOG® , ABP® , and ABFM® Question Banks, along with other innovative products currently in development.

Schedule Overview

As a Physician Author, you'll maintain part-time clinical practice (hospital-based or outpatient depending on specialty) while dedicating the remainder of your time at our corporate office in Irving, TX. This flexible model typically includes:

  • 25–40% clinical work
  • 60–75% nonclinical/educational contributions

Requirements

  • MD or DO; board certified or board eligible in one of the following:
  • Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, or Pediatrics
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for educating future physicians
  • Proven high performance on USMLE® Step 1, 2, and 3
  • Experience in writing board-style questions, tutoring medical students, or working in an academic setting is a plus
  • Ability to contribute to or collaborate across multiple specialties is highly desirable

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop original, high-yield content for USMLE®, ABIM®, ABFM® , and other UWorld Question Banks, including: clinical vignettes and board-style questions
  • Detailed explanations aligned with exam blueprints and real-world clinical scenarios
  • Review and revise content from fellow physician authors, ensuring clinical accuracy, clarity, and educational impact
  • Collaborate with the medical illustration team to create engaging, high-yield visuals that enhance learning across specialties
  • Work cross-functionally with physicians, editors, illustrators, IT, and support teams to improve content quality and user experience
  • Incorporate learner feedback and performance data into content improvements
  • Demonstrate strong time management and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Contribute to additional projects and new product development as needed
