Deliver advanced imaging in a calm, patient-centered environment — with a schedule that protects your time.

At Fairfax Radiology Centers, our MRI Technologists work in a dedicated outpatient MRI center using advanced GE 1.5T and 3T systems in an ambient, patient-friendly setting. You’ll focus on delivering high-quality imaging and patient care — without the unpredictability of a hospital environment.

If you’re passionate about MRI, enjoy working with advanced technology, and want a role where your expertise is respected, this is a place to grow.

In your first 90 days, you will:
  • Independently perform routine MRI exams with confidence and accuracy
  • Produce consistently high-quality images requiring minimal repeats
  • Deliver a calm, supportive patient experience in every interaction
  • Adapt to GE MRI systems (if coming from another platform)
  • Integrate into a collaborative, fast-moving outpatient imaging team
Success in this role looks like: patients feel comfortable and informed, and radiologists trust your imaging without question.
Why Technologists Choose This Role
  • Consistent weekday evening schedule
  • No holidays and no call
  • Work with advanced GE 1.5T and 3T MRI systems
  • Ambient imaging environment designed for patient comfort
  • Opportunity to expand skills (cardiac MRI, breast imaging, research studies)
  • Supportive team with strong clinical expertise
  • Sign-on bonus eligibility
What You’ll Do
  • Perform routine and specialty MRI exams, including breast imaging
  • Deliver high-quality imaging with strong attention to patient safety and comfort
  • Operate GE 1.5T and 3T MRI systems
  • Follow MRI safety protocols and ensure accurate documentation in PACS/RIS
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to deliver timely diagnostic imaging

This Role Is a Great Fit If You
  • Enjoy MRI and want to deepen your expertise
  • Take pride in producing high-quality diagnostic imaging
  • Value patient interaction and education
  • Like structured outpatient workflows
  • Prefer an evening schedule that frees up your mornings
This Role May Not Be the Best Fit If You
  • Prefer inpatient or hospital-based environments
  • Need a daytime schedule
  • Prefer minimal patient interaction
  • Are uncomfortable working in a high-volume outpatient setting
Qualifications
Required
  • 6+ months of MRI experience or completion of an MRI training program
  • ARRT (R) or MRI certification, or ARMRIT certification
  • BLS certification
Preferred
  • Experience in outpatient imaging environments
  • Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems
Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
