Globe 24-7 has partnered with an international OEM in the Mining and Aggregates space, to hire an experienced Mining Sales Engineer for a remote-based position, with the organization’s U.S. headquarters located in Chicago, IL.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Engineer to support business growth within the mining and aggregates sectors. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing strategic customer relationships, and strengthening a network of sales partners and representatives across assigned markets.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with commercial acumen, effectively engaging with stakeholders ranging from engineering and operations teams to senior executive leadership. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities, developing technical and commercial proposals, delivering customer presentations, negotiating contracts, and providing ongoing support throughout the sales process. Candidates should possess a demonstrated history of success in capital equipment sales within the mining industry, including experience managing complex sales cycles and cultivating long-term customer relationships. The position also involves representing the organization at industry conferences, trade exhibitions, and professional networking events.
This role requires frequent travel to customer operations, industry events, and corporate facilities. A home-office-based arrangement may be considered for qualified candidates who are located near a major transportation hub and can accommodate regular travel requirements.
The Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Proven experience selling capital equipment or technical solutions to the mining and aggregates industries.
Strong technical knowledge of the Product line consisting of highly technical equipment used in Raw Material Processing
Lead effective communications with both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
Experience preparing quotations, proposals, and commercial agreements.
Demonstrated success in business development, account management, and market expansion.
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively as required.
Self-motivated, independent, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in technical sales, business development, or account management within the mining, aggregates, bulk materials, or heavy industrial equipment sectors.
Strong understanding of material handling systems, process equipment, and industrial machinery applications.
Demonstrated experience developing, managing, and expanding distributor, representative, or channel partner networks.
Proven ability to independently prepare technical proposals, develop pricing strategies, and generate comprehensive commercial quotations.
Skilled at assessing customer operational requirements and recommending technically and commercially appropriate solutions.
Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to translate customer needs into actionable requirements for engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams.
Results-oriented professional capable of managing complex, long-cycle sales processes while consistently meeting business objectives and deadlines.
Experience coordinating input from multiple suppliers, engineering disciplines, and stakeholders to develop accurate cost estimates and commercial proposals for large-scale equipment projects.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including domestic and international travel, as required to support customers, business development initiatives, project execution, and industry events.
The Rewards
This remote position offers a competitive remuneration package with a base salary range from $125,000-140,000/yr, commission on new and existing client sales, and additional benefits coverage.
