Join our team supporting a leading government agency within the Maryland Judiciary ! As a Guardianship Case Investigator , you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of vulnerable populations—including children, older adults, and individuals with disabilities—by investigating guardianship cases, assessing individual needs, and preparing clear, concise reports for the court. Your work ensures guardianship processes are followed in full compliance with state law and in the best interest of those under protection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct interviews, home visits, and thorough record reviews to assess the welfare of protected individuals.
• Gather information from guardians, family members, and stakeholders to support case evaluations.
• Prepare detailed, professional reports with recommendations for the court.
• Provide testimony as needed regarding case findings.
• Demonstrate impartiality, professionalism, and thorough knowledge of guardianship laws.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Gerontology, Criminal Justice, or related field.
• Maryland-licensed Social Worker, Counselor, or Clinical Psychologist.
• 3+ years of experience working with vulnerable populations.
• Strong investigative and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and travel within Maryland.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

• Experience in protective services, case management, or social work investigations.
• Familiarity with court reporting and assessment documentation.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and up to seven days a week.
