Job Description

Are you a recent accounting graduate ready to trade textbooks for real-world impact? We are looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team.

This role is designed to give you a complete, 360-degree view of corporate accounting. Operating under the direct guidance and mentorship of the Controller, you will build a foundation in corporate finance, manufacturing operations, and payroll management. If you want to accelerate your professional growth, develop high-demand analytical skills, and learn how a business runs from the top down, this is the perfect first step for your career.

Why This Role is the Perfect First Step

  • Direct Executive Mentorship: Work hand-in-hand with our Controller, learning advanced financial practices and executive-level reporting from day one.
  • Master Full-Cycle Accounting: Gain hands-on experience across the entire accounting ecosystem—including general ledger entries, inventory controls, payroll management, and bank reconciliations.
  • High-Demand Systems Training: Elevate your tech stack by mastering advanced Excel functions and corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Audit-Ready Experience: Gain resume-boosting exposure by assisting with year-end corporate audits.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and post vital journal entries to accurately reflect revenue and expenses on our monthly financial statements.
  • Operations & ERP Management: Manage cash transactions, reconcile bank statements, and align financial data across our core ERP databases.
  • Inventory Strategy: Lead monthly inventory cycle counts and collaborate with our operations team to optimize year-end physical counts.
  • Payroll & HR Collaboration: Partner with Human Resources and our third-party vendors to seamlessly process bi-weekly payroll and benefits tracking.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Dive into data to investigate account variances, correct entry errors, and maintain the absolute integrity of our ledger.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related business field.

Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the mental stamina to focus deeply on complex tasks.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently collaborate with team members at every level of the organization.

Microsoft Excel a plus.

Eagerness to learn!
