This Public Health Educator will serve as the South-Central Region Public Health Educator, conducting training programs and activities designed to improve knowledge of HIV and other communicable diseases within facilities. This position will conduct a health education program in the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) facilities, participate in the preparation, selection and distribution of health education materials, and consult with and advise departmental, division, and program chiefs and professional personnel on various health problems. In addition, they will plan and conduct a program designed to promote and stimulate interest in health education. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, task oriented, and organized.
