Job Responsibilities:  

As a CMM Inspector, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest quality standards for our aerospace components. You will be responsible for performing precise dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other inspection equipment to verify that parts meet engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to identify and document nonconforming conditions while supporting our commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality aerospace products.

  Job Responsibilities:  

- Perform precise measurements of aerospace components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with dimensional requirements.

- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections of parts and assemblies.

- Document and report inspection results, including non-conformities and deviations.

- Maintain detailed records of inspection activities and results in quality management systems.

- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve dimensional discrepancies.

- Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.

- Assist in the development and implementation of inspection processes and procedures.

- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements during inspection activities.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.

- Support root cause analysis and corrective action plans for quality issues.

- Proficiency in operating and programming CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines).

- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.

- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.

- Experience with CMM software, such as PC-DMIS or similar platforms.

- Knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management System standards.

- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot measurement issues.

- Familiarity with various measurement tools and equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

-Ability to work with very tight dimensional tolerances and maintain a high level of accuracy.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, as needed.

- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

- Required: Compliant with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. Person status (ITAR defines “U.S. Person” as a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.)

Educational Qualification and Experience: 

- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical training or certification preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CMM Inspector in the aerospace industry.
