Job Description

A private tech family in Northern California is seeking a Butler / House Manager to work closely with the Estate Manager and Chief of Staff in supporting the family across multiple residences. This role is ideal for someone with luxury hospitality or butler experience who thrives in a hands-on, service-oriented environment and is eager to contribute to the smooth operation of the family’s households.

***Please note this is primarily an onsite role on the Peninsula/family office with travel to other California residences as needed. Flexibility is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level household service and support to the family across four California residences
• Oversee housekeeping and ensure all homes are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Assist with packing and unpacking, laundry care, and wardrobe maintenance
• Support light table service, dinner setup, and other household service needs
• Provide valet services, including vehicle preparation and organization
• Travel between residences as needed and provide flexible support for family events, gatherings, and other household needs
• Work as part of a team under the guidance of the Chief of Staff and in coordination with the Estate Manager
• Embrace a service-oriented mindset and contribute to building a positive, collaborative household culture
• Take on tasks of all sizes with flexibility, discretion, and a can-do attitude

Qualifications:

• Experience in 5-star luxury hotels, high-end hospitality, or as a private butler; European service experience is a strong plus
• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
• Warm, positive, and team-oriented personality with excellent interpersonal skills
• Highly service-oriented with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable, able to travel as needed and step into a variety of household roles
• Open to more junior/mid-level candidates who are moldable and ready to grow into a larger role
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a household team and report effectively to leadership

Compensation:

$150,000 – 175,000 depending on experience

• Benefits stipend provided until family benefits plan is established.
• Relocation assistance may be available.
